Bara Protests Continue Over Garima Chaudhary Murder, Pathlaiya–Birgunj Highway Disrupted

 


Bara, August 20: Public anger over the murder of three-year-old Garima Chaudhary has intensified in Bara, with protests continuing for a second day and the Pathlaiya–Birgunj road section remaining blocked.

Garima, a resident of Dasdhure in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City–1, went missing on August 16 and was later found to have been murdered, according to preliminary police investigation.

Family members and local residents have taken to the streets demanding justice for the child and strict punishment for those responsible. Demonstrators blocked the highway by burning tires, disrupting the movement of vehicles.

The blockade has left hundreds of vehicles and passengers stranded along the road. Protesters have warned that they will continue their agitation until those involved in the murder are brought to justice and punished according to the law.

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the case. According to police, one of the arrested suspects has reportedly confessed to murdering the child during interrogation.

The murder has triggered widespread outrage in the local community, with residents demanding a thorough investigation and strong legal action against all those involved.
