Journalist Kishor Shrestha to Remain in Custody for Three Days

 


Kathmandu: The Kathmandu District Court has granted police permission to keep journalist Kishor Shrestha in custody for three days for further investigation.

Shrestha, the editor of Jana Aastha weekly, was arrested on Wednesday night in connection with an alleged violation of personal privacy.

He was presented before the court on Thursday for an extension of his detention. After hearing the case, the court granted police a three-day remand to continue the investigation.

Police will conduct further investigation into the case during the three-day detention period.

The viral video shows Gupta, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Siraha Constituency-1, standing on the back of a moving Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle.
