Kathmandu, August 22 — Nepal ‘A’ will take on Bangladesh High-Performance today in the ongoing Top End T20 Series in Australia, with the Nepali side aiming to secure its first victory of the tournament.
The match will be played at Marrara Oval in Darwin and is scheduled to begin at 2:15 PM Nepal time.
Nepal ‘A’ suffered an eight-wicket defeat against the host Northern Territory Strike in its opening match. After an underwhelming performance in both departments, Nepal will be looking to make a strong comeback by improving its batting and bowling against Bangladesh.
The match is expected to be another tough challenge for Nepal, which has previously faced Bangladesh ‘A’ in the Top End T20 Series. Nepal lost that encounter by 29 runs last year.
Despite losing its opening game, Nepal still has plenty of opportunities to recover, as each team will play six matches in the league stage.
A victory today would not only give Nepal its first points but also boost the team’s confidence for the remaining matches of the tournament. The Nepali side will be hoping for a disciplined batting performance and effective bowling to put Bangladesh High-Performance under pressure.
