Seven Political Parties Prepare to Launch ‘Progressive Front’
Kathmandu, Aug. 3: Seven political parties are preparing to form a new political alliance called the "Progressive Front (Agragami Morcha)."The alliance is scheduled to be officially announced on August 7 (Shrawan 23) at Thapa Gaun Banquet in Baneshwor, Kathmandu.
Janamat Party Chair C.K. Raut said the front will bring together parties ranging from the Janata Samajbadi Party (Nepal), led by Upendra Yadav, to the Progressive Democratic Party, led by Janardan Sharma.
According to Raut, the alliance will include the Janata Samajbadi Party (Nepal), Janamat Party, Aam Janata Party, Progressive Democratic Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, Nepal Federal Socialist Party, and Bahujan Ekata Party Nepal.
Leaders said the new alliance aims to strengthen political cooperation and build a common agenda on key national issues. The parties are expected to announce their future strategy and programs during the official launch of the front.
