Durga Prasai Ordered Released by Bhaktapur District Court

 


Kathmandu, Aug. 3: The Bhaktapur District Court has ordered the release of medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai.

Prasai, who was presented before the court for an extension of his judicial remand, was ordered to be released without any extension.

He had been arrested on Sunday night. Authorities had been investigating him on allegations related to cybercrime, offenses against public morality and decency, and acts deemed to disturb public peace.

Further legal proceedings, if any, are expected to continue in accordance with the law.

  Siraha, July 24 — Traffic police have fined the rider of a motorcycle after a video showing Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Bablu Gupta performing a risky stunt while riding went viral on social media. The viral video shows Gupta, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Siraha Constituency-1, standing on the back of a moving Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle.
