Kathmandu — U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating has continued to decline, falling to 33 percent, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll. This is the lowest approval rating recorded during his current term in office.
According to the survey, 64 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s performance as president, while only 33 percent approve of his performance. Earlier this month, Trump’s approval rating stood at 35 percent.
The latest figure also matches the lowest approval rating recorded during Trump’s first term. His approval rating fell to 33 percent in December 2017.
The survey also highlighted growing concern among Americans over the conflict and tensions between the United States and Iran. Nearly 80 percent of respondents said they were worried that a war between the U.S. and Iran could continue for a prolonged period.
The latest poll suggests that public support for Trump is weakening, while the Iran conflict and U.S. foreign policy are emerging as major concerns among American voters.
