Six Killed, 13 Injured in Bus Accident in East Nawalparasi

Kathmandu, October 3 — Six people have died and 13 others were injured after a passenger bus crashed in Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality–2 of East Nawalparasi on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred at around 4 a.m. at the Chausaththi Mod section of the East-West Highway. The bus, bearing registration number Province 3-01-006 Kha 1553, was traveling from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu when it lost control and plunged into a roadside drain.

According to police, the accident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating the turn.

The injured passengers were taken to Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital in Danda for treatment. Police said further details regarding the identities of those killed and the condition of the injured are being collected.
