Kathmandu, September 17. Nepal’s national women’s volleyball team will take on Indonesia today in the ongoing 20th Asian Games in Japan.
The match between Nepal and Indonesia is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM at Park Arena in Komaki. Nepal, searching for its first victory in the tournament, will enter the court aiming to bounce back with a strong performance.
Nepal suffered a 3–0 straight-set defeat against hosts Japan in its opening match on Wednesday. Competing in Group ‘A’, Nepal will be looking to put that result behind it and make a strong comeback against Indonesia.
According to the latest FIVB world rankings, Indonesia is ranked 53rd, while Nepal is placed 69th. Despite Indonesia’s higher ranking, Nepal will be hoping to put up a competitive performance and secure its first win.
This is the second consecutive appearance of Nepal’s women’s volleyball team at the Asian Games. At the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, in 2023, Nepal finished in 11th position.
Nepal will now look to defeat Indonesia and improve its position in the competition.
