Iran Warns Against Activities That Could Fuel Regional Instability After Netanyahu’s UAE Visit

ran has urged countries in the Middle East to avoid activities that could increase regional tensions and instability following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a statement issued by Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday night, Tehran expressed concern over Netanyahu’s visit to the UAE and emphasized that maintaining regional security is a shared responsibility of all countries.

Iran warned that actions or cooperation that create opportunities for external powers to expand their presence in the region could ultimately affect countries across the Middle East.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said such developments could deepen divisions, insecurity and instability in West Asia. It also called on regional governments to recognize their responsibility to maintain peace and stability.

Tehran further urged governments in the region not to provide opportunities for what it described as the expansion of Israel’s “harmful presence” and not to allow their territories to be used as platforms for activities directed against other countries.

Netanyahu visited the UAE on Sunday, where he met UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

However, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office officially confirmed the visit only two days after it took place.
