Police Operation in Siraha: 6 Drug Traffickers Arrested After Seven Warning Shots Fired


 

Siraha, July 23: A joint team from the Narcotics Control Bureau and Nepal Police arrested six suspected drug traffickers during a special operation in Lahan, Siraha, after firing seven rounds to bring the situation under control.

According to DSP Ramesh Pal, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Siraha, the incident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday when police attempted to detain a group of suspects. Officers fired seven rounds during the operation to control the situation and successfully apprehended the suspects.

Among those arrested are five Indian nationals and one Nepali national. Police recovered approximately 225 grams of brown heroin from their possession.

Police said an investigation into the suspected drug trafficking network is underway. Further details will be made public once the investigation is completed.
