Sher Bahadur Deuba Arrives in Kathmandu

Kathmandu — Nepali Congress outgoing president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Deuba landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at around 12:30 p.m. after traveling via Thailand. Leaders from the Nepali Congress establishment-opposition faction had reached the airport to welcome him.

Deuba had traveled to Singapore with his wife, Arzu Rana Deuba, on the night of Kartik 10 for medical treatment after sustaining serious injuries during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 24. Following his treatment, he stayed in Thailand for some time.

After spending a long period abroad for treatment and recovery, Deuba has now returned to Nepal. His return is also being closely watched within the Nepali Congress from a political perspective.
