Government, Family of Captainganj Incident Victim Reach Seven-Point Agreement
Kathmandu: The Nepal government and the family of Rabindrakumar Mehta, who died in an incident at Captainganj of Dewanganj Rural Municipality-3 in Sunsari on August 10 (Shrawan 10), have reached a seven-point agreement. The agreement was reached on Monday between Home Minister Sudhan Gurung and the family members of the deceased. According to the agreement, the process to officially declare Mehta a martyr will be initiated immediately. The government has also agreed to conduct a fair and effective investigation into the incident and take necessary legal action against those found responsible. The agreement further states that an immediate investigation will be launched into the legal status of the madrasa located in Dewanganj-3 and other matters related to the incident.
